At Arista, the jewelery creation process is completely handmade, so each jewel is made 100% by hand and therefore must be treated and cared for with great love. Jewelry is the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you take off at night. Remember: they are jewelry, not toys. You must take care of them accordingly.

Keep in mind that silver undergoes a completely normal oxidation process when in contact with humidity in the air, certain artificial lights and the PH of the skin. First it takes on a yellowish color until it turns black. This is a completely normal process and is easily fixed with cleaning cloths or special jewelry products. Jewelry in general (gold, platinum, silver, silver-palladium, etc.) gradually loses its shine with use as they scratch and this is NORMAL due to daily rubbing.

Avoid bumps and falls as natural stones can break, especially labradorites and moonstones.

Never, NEVER perform rituals with your stone, this means leaving it under water to charge it, exposed to the sun, under moonlight in a container with water and salt, etc. All of this will only cause silver to oxidize, causing softer stones to physically suffer from water, lose color, among other things.

Avoid wearing your jewelry when you go to exercise as you can alter the shape of the rings or the stones can loosen up.

Try not to carry out activities where particles can enter under a stone (such as putting on creams, gardening, cooking) since it will only cause your ring to accumulate dirt in the settings and what remains under the stone only dulls its shine .

Avoid contact with strong chemical products such as chlorine, cleaning products, creams, oils, alcohol from perfumes, makeup, among others; since they can weaken or damage metals, produce color changes, damage some stones and their settings, dull the pieces or oxidize the silver.

Be careful with rings with smaller settings as they can snag and bend on clothing or surfaces. In the case of earrings, if the stops are loose, avoid using them so as not to lose them (and if you need to tighten them, contact us) and for necklaces, avoid pulling and using force on the clasps.

When you use a piece of jewelry with a gold plate, you must always keep in mind that it is a superficial finish and you must be especially careful, so try not to use it even to wash your hands, in the shower or apply perfume. The PH of the skin can make it black or ugly, if you want to clean it with the cloth, remember that it must be very, very soft.

CLEANING
All purchases go with a cloth to keep your jewelry clean that serves until it is completely black.

If you don't have a cotton polishing cloth, you can soak it in warm soapy water for 10 minutes, clean with a soft toothbrush in circular motions, and dry with a soft cloth.

Store it in a dry and hermetic place, covered in cloth to prevent oxidation of the material. Never leave it in contact with wooden boxes.
