ON EDGE
Hello, I am Josefa Corvalán Roca, architect and founder of Arista Joyas.
From a very young age, I found a special fascination with creating with my hands . I experimented with macrame, embroidery, beadwork, knitting, and various other crafts that, without my realizing it, were building my sensitivity to materials, details, and manual processes .
I studied architecture and graduated in 2016. It was there that I discovered something that continues to profoundly define my work: the obsession with proportion, geometry and the relationship between form, materiality and emotion .
Architecture taught me to observe the world from a design perspective, but it also awakened in me a very particular interest in the micro scale ; in those small objects capable of containing intention, identity, and permanence .
In 2017, I found in the jewelry industry the exact point where all my concerns converged . That's how Arista was born.
Each piece of jewelry I design is deeply influenced by architecture and art. Often, the lines originate from an architectural work, a geometric composition, or a sculptural reference reinterpreted through goldsmithing. Even the names of the pieces are tributes to architects, designers, and artists I admire and who, in some way, form part of the brand's visual universe .
Through Arista, I believe in timeless, honest, and well-made jewelry. I work with precious metals and real materials, creating pieces designed to accompany everyday life: jewelry you can wear every day, that ages beautifully, and that becomes part of your personal story .
I am inspired by minimalism , simplicity , and the value of detail . I design for those who find beauty in subtlety ; for those who understand that a special piece needs intention, not excess .
Each piece of jewelry is developed with meticulous attention to form, proportions, and the experience of wearing it. Because I believe that design should not only look good, but also feel natural, comfortable, and stand the test of time.
Arista is an extension of my personal history, my training, and my way of understanding design.
It is the union between architecture and craft.
Between art and everyday use.
Between sensitivity and permanence.
Designer jewelry with its own identity, created for lovers of well-made things.
